Talent recognition is a rare skill. Jack Welch, former CEO of GE, was a master at this. His protégé, Richard Wintermantel, recommended me for a director position in a Motorola business generating over $8 billion in annual sales. Prior position: Operations manager leading a $20 million worldwide P&L. Under my leadership, we accelerated revenue realization 4x and more than doubled revenue in a "no growth" region that had been flat for years.
